IMA Submits Comments to IDEM on Permitting of Stormwater Discharge

Last month, the IMA submitted written comments to the Indiana Department of Environmental Affairs (IDEM) Environmental Rules Board (ERB) regarding permitting of stormwater discharge associated with industrial activity.

Many IMA members have facilities in Indiana that will be impacted by the issuance of this general permit in the current draft form. Several sections of the draft permit are inconsistent with state and federal rules and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency 2021 Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP) for stormwater associated with industrial activity. The IMA submitted detailed comments addressing these concerns on behalf of IMA members.
